"This heroine is just as sharp and lethal as the blade sheathed on her back."

Review -

Full of blood, sex, wit and a perfectly matched pair.  Afterall, who else could a Hunter who was raised by the head Vampire, also the vessel of the Triple Goddess Brigid, be evenly matched with besides the newest Vampire Scion?

Goddess with a Blade is set up in Las Vegas.  What better place for a story with vampires, you know, besides Louisiana.  Rowan Summerwaite has just returned home from dispatching the previous Scion for Las Vegas, Clive Stewart.  When she does she not only has to put up with a new one already in his place, but also a six centuries old vampire of the very worst sort.  If crystal meth can ruin the human mind, imagine the damage it could to the mind of a six-hundred year old predator.  With bodies literally dropping out of the sky, each one even more defiled and mutilated than the last, she is in a race against time to find this killer and put an end to his spree, and his existence.  Yet she still finds the time to truly go bump in the night with Clive, the heat coming off the two in so many waves, readers will swear they see steam coming off of the pages.

Great storyline and perfect settings, including a strip club where the fake vampires are real, and will make you think twice before signing a waiver to be part of the "act".  Though this was truly an enjoyable story, there were quite a few holes.  For it to be a first book there was not enough detail on who these character's were, or how they came to be.  It gave off the feeling of jumping into the series in the middle, like you were missing pieces to a puzzle.  But readers will be able to feel the chemistry between lovers, father and daughter and friends, and the way they feel for one another.

Readers who like this book, will LOVE this series; Void City.
